logo design
reason to why i'm making my logo
Today i decided that I wanted to make my logo for the that I am making for my game design. I decided I wanted to make a logo as I want to make my work look much more professional.
logo design: part 1
i started by opening up Photoshop and starting a new document so that I could begin making my logo. I then selected the text called 'Agentcy FB' as it looks identical to the text for my website. I then typed up 'cyberpunk' onto the page.

After that was finished, I decided I wanted to add neon colors to the design as I wanted it to go with the image I have chosen to be part of my logo. I found this image on Google Images under the name 'neon skull'.

I liked the look of this image because it fits the style of our theme for the level design as it is neon and it can work for a cyberpunk city setting due to cities being very bright and colorful.
audience research / profile
the audience i have chosen for this project (3D Level design) that is a gender neutral which is suitable for 12-15 year olds. it is important to do this research so that i can see what the target audience for my survey prefers. i want to make sure that they take interest in what i am creating and i want to make sure my ideas are appealing to others. By doing research on target audience it will help me keep track with the information i get from the survey.
i decided to focus on the blue neon and use that as the main color for the background because I knew the color would stand out with the black. I done the same thing as earlier but made it so that they were two separate layers.

I labelled it 'CYBERPUNKS (blue)' so that I wouldn't get confused to which logo was which and I wanted to be organised as I plan to add more colors to the logo. I then dragged the blue text underneath the black text.

problem solving
the only problem i had while i was working on my logo was that when i was placing the layers for the blue and black text for 'cyberpunks' the blue layer would overlap the black layer. i fixed this quickly by placing the black layer on the top of the blue layer so that the layers were where i wanted them.
before i continued to the second part of making my logo i decided to upload a timeline onto my Photoshop (work) so that i could start adding animation to my logo. i went onto timeline by clicking the window button and scrolling down to timeline.
logo design: part 2
this is because i knew i would be adding more layers using a pink font and i wanted to be organised and make sure i knew what layer was for whatever letter i was working on. i added a new layer to the layers column and i called it 'cyberpunks (C pink). on the timeline i added a second frame and continued to work on my blog.

the reason why i chose to make the letters turn pink was because i wanted it to go with the color scheme that was went with my website and my level design and i wanted it to appeal to my target audience.

i made sure that the new layer i had created was the right shape and size to match up to the blue layer I had previously created earlier. I did this by duplicating the blue layer and removing all of the letters except the letter c, i then changed the color of the font from blue to pink, and then i moved it into place. i also made sure that the layer was in the right place as i didn't want it overlapping the black text like it did previously with the blue text.

i repeated the process but with every letter. i put them all in place on the second frame and then duplicated the second frame so that all of the layers would be on the third frame. i then made sure the layers were in the correct order so that it would be easier for me to make the animation.
I then individually removed and added the visibility to each layer depending on what timeline I was working on.
_JPG.jpg)
For example, frame 2 shows the pink text of the c for 'cyberpunks' (top image) to be visible and appear pink and on frame 3 (bottom image) you can see that the pink text of the letter y is 'cyberpunks' is visible while the letter c is not visible.

i continued to do this for each frame on the timeline that i added so that it would look like the pink text was moving from letter to letter.
ONCE I COMPLETED THAT I THEN BEGAN TO ADD THE NEON YELLOW TO MY DESIGN.
logo design: part 3
i then duplicated the pink layers and changed the name to 'CYBERPUNKS (c yellow)' and repeated the process again until i had all of the same letters that were pink but now a neon yellow.

after i completed that, i then decided to make the colours flash in the order i wanted them to be. i made it so that all the letters were blue, then, pink, then blue, then yellow, and then blue. i repeated this process so that it would have a pattern.

you will be able to see this pattern below.

after this process was complete, i then edited the logo so that it would match up with the 'neon skull' image that i talked about earlier. by putting these two together to create one whole logo i finally completed my logo design.
i didn't look up any tutorials or need any help with making my logo as i just tinkered around with it and added more to it until i made the final result. i also added the neon skull image next to the design to complete the look.

conclusion
now that my logo is finally complete i can use it as my logo not only for my level design, but for my website too!
i believe that by making my logo look like this, it will make my game and my website look more professional as it is a finished logo and it goes with the theme of my game and the style of my website.
